We built myai because we lived the problem.
Mark started as a quality engineer on the manufacturing floor — diagnosing defects, running kaizen events, and falling in love with what he calls the “beautiful and chaotic organism” that is manufacturing. Over 15 years he built the information systems his operations depended on — planning tools, visual management, process optimization — always driven by going to gemba: the real place where the work happens. He moved from process engineering into lean leadership, then spent nearly six years at a manufacturing software company leading product growth and ecosystem strategy. Every step was the same question: how do you equip the people on the floor to solve their own problems?
William studied mechanical engineering and spent years in operations consulting — leading smart factory transformations, supply chain control towers, and analytics programs for manufacturers and industrial companies. He kept running into the same wall: the people who understood the problems best didn’t have the tools to solve them. So he started building — first analytics tools, then applications, then a platform designed from the ground up to scale human expertise.
Why We Started This
We met in the middle — both building tools for manufacturers, both frustrated by the same gap. The people closest to the problem had the expertise to solve it but not the tools. And the AI tools that existed were solving the easy problems while ignoring the hard ones.
