Arena PLM
Read and write Arena PLM items, BOMs, change orders, and quality data from any myai canvas, function, or chat.
Arena PLM is the cloud product-lifecycle system most hardware startups and mid-market manufacturers land on — particularly in medical device, aerospace, and high-volume electronics. The integration treats Arena as a live data source for chats, canvases, and functions: items, BOMs, change orders, quality processes, and supplier data all reachable through one credential, so the engineering-side state your team manages in Arena becomes usable from operations and manufacturing automations.
What you can do
- Pull BOM and item data into a chat — "show me the BOM for assembly X" returns the full structure with revisions, lead times, and supplier links.
- Change-order awareness — automations can flag stalled ECOs, route approvals through Teams, or notify the right engineers when an item they own gets modified.
- Quality-process integration — read CAPA, NCMR, or other quality records from Arena alongside other operational state.
- Supplier-data sync — pull supplier records for procurement workflows or status checks.
- File access — Arena's attached documents (drawings, datasheets, specs) reachable through the same credential.
- Cross-system manufacturing visibility — Arena's engineering view joined with ERP manufacturing data for the "what we designed vs what's actually running" comparison.
How to connect
API key authentication. Provide your Arena Instance URL + API Key (generated in your Arena account settings). The integration exchanges the API key for a session token on each call, transparent to the user.
Connect Arena PLM in myaiCommon use cases
- ECO-stuck triage — function reads pending changes, flags ones past the SLA, pings the right engineering lead.
- BOM-vs-ERP reconciliation — daily function diffs the Arena BOM against the ERP routing, surfaces discrepancies before they cause production problems.
- Quality-trend reporting — CAPA and NCMR data joined with production output for the closed-loop quality view.
Reference
- Connection model: API key + session token exchange
- Scope: ~35 operations across items, BOMs, changes, quality, files, suppliers
- Per-instance credential — multi-tenant Arena deployments each get their own connection
