QuickBooks is the accounting platform most SMB and lower-mid-market companies run on — particularly anything services-based, professional, or distributed enough that NetSuite would be overkill. The integration treats QuickBooks as a live data source — invoices, expenses, customers, vendors, and the financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet) that drive operational decisions all queryable from chat and writable from automations.

What you can do

  • Pull financial state into a chat — AR aging, expense breakdown, P&L by class or location, all queryable inline.
  • Invoice automation — when a project hits a milestone in another system, the function creates the matching QuickBooks invoice with the right line items and class assignments.
  • Expense reporting visibility — expense categories, recent activity, anomalies, surfaced without exporting to a separate BI tool.
  • Customer and vendor lookups — for the workflows that need to check terms, current balance, or contact info before acting.
  • Sandbox + production environments — same credential model works against either; switch environments by toggling the integration setting.

Common use cases

  • AR aging digest — daily function reads outstanding invoices, summarizes past-due, drafts dunning emails for review.
  • Project-to-invoice automation — milestone completion in CRM or project management triggers a matching QuickBooks invoice.
  • Cross-source financial views mixing QuickBooks with HubSpot deal data, contractor timesheets, or expense data for live margin visibility.

Reference

  • Connection model: Intuit OAuth 2.0
